Clane RFC was founded in 1984. Our grounds are located on the Ballinagappa Road in Clane. We field teams at Senior, Youths, Girls, and Minis level.
Our Seniors currently compete in Division 3 of the Leinster League with a young and constantly growing squad. We are very proud of our popular and successful Youths teams, with strong squads through every age group all the way up to U18. We field dedicated Girls teams at U14, U16, and U18 level via our increasingly successful Wolves amalgamation sides. Girls and boys are given the opportunity to play rugby from U7 and up through our thriving Minis setup.
We are dedicated to promoting rugby in the wider community. We travel to schools around the area to provide rugby coaching sessions via the Leinster Rugby CCRO programme. Women’s Tag Rugby takes place in the club too, providing a great outlet for local women to enjoy our game.

Seniors
Our Seniors play in the Leinster League Division 2B/3. We foster a great sense of community and friendship in our squad, making it a great place to play rugby. New players are always welcome regardless of experience or fitness level.
Girls
Making Clane a great place for girls to enjoy rugby is very important to us. We are proud of our record of developing girls’ rugby locally. Girls are playing with us all the way up to U18, and we are always looking for new players!
Youths
Our Youths teams begin at U13, and currently run up to U18. We aim to develop our players in a safe and fun environment, allowing competitiveness and a fun environment for all. All are welcome to join if interested!
Minis
We welcome a wide variety of children to play rugby at our club, including boys and girls teams. Our minis play up to U12, where they transition into the Youths. We strive to create a fun and pressure-free environment for our players to learn rugby and make friends.
Women’s Tag Rugby
Women’s Tag Rugby is an opportunity for adult women to participate in rugby in a contact-free and friendly environment. Anyone with an interest is welcome to enjoy a great way to learn the sport and meet new people.
